Collaboration through Connection.
Widely praised for his, “fleet, lyrical touch” (PBS), Shuldiner’s “bravura flair” (Classical Voice America) has delighted audiences worldwide. Engagements in the ‘24-’25 season include work with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony, and Les Violons du Roy. He additionally has had the pleasure to play for the Orchestra of Saint Lukes at Carnegie Hall, under the direction of Bernard Labadie. Mr. Shuldiner has been fortunate to work with some of the World’s most esteemed maestri including Ricardo Muti, Harry Bicket, Fabio Biondi, Jane Glover, Matt Halls, Lawrence Cummings, and many others. As a recently emerging conductor, Mark has additionally had the distinct pleasure to serve as cover conductor to both Nic McGegan and Richard Egarr during their work at the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. Having a great love of collaboration with vocalists, Mark has also been heard in the pit of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Opera Theater, Cincinnati Opera, and Long Beach Opera. He also frequently collaborates with his wife, and esteemed soprano, Molly Netter, playing piano, harpsichord, and organ in works ranging from the 17th century to the 21st. When time allows, Mr. Shuldiner runs a harpsichord building workshop, known as Brass & Quill, and as of 2024, co-founded a NFP called harpsicurious. He also co-directs Mountains to moors with Mrs. Netter, bringing joy through the intimacy of chamber music. Upcoming plans include exploring his ambitions in conducting, spreading the knowledge of harpsichord maintenance and building through harpsicurious, and reaching to ever-greater heights in his artistic collaborations with some of the best musicians and institutions the World has to offer. In the upcoming ‘25'-’26 season, Mr. Shuldiner can be heard with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, among others.
